COMTAX is run by Elie and Anna alongside their son Simon, who looks after the client side. When you call, you speak to the people responsible for your file and for the firm’s name. That is the whole reason the relationships last as long as they do.

01What does it cost?
It depends on how much bookkeeping you need and how complex the business is, so we quote after a short conversation rather than guessing. You get a number before any work starts, and it does not move without you agreeing to it.
02My books are a mess. Is that a problem?
No. It is the most common way clients arrive. We look at what is there, tell you what it takes to get current, then keep it current.
03Is switching accountants a hassle?
Less than people expect. We request your records from your current accountant, and in most cases you do very little beyond signing the authorization.
04Do you work with my industry?
Probably. We have served more than 500 businesses across retail, food, trades, transport, professional services, real estate and e-commerce. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you.
05Do I need to come to your office?
Only if you want to, and you are more than welcome to book a time and meet us in person at the North York office. Most of the work happens digitally, so clients across the GTA and the rest of Ontario deal with us without anyone driving anywhere.
06What do you need from me to start?
A conversation first. After that, usually your last filed return, access to your books if you have them, and your business number.
07Can you handle more than one corporation?
Yes. Multi-company structures, holding companies and intercompany accounts are regular work here.
